The history of Junghans watches
Junghans was founded on the 14th April 1861 by Erhard Junghans. In 1903 approximately 3000 employees were producing over three million timepieces per year. This made Junghans the largest timepieces factory. In 1970 Junghans developers were starting to create a quartz wristwatch. However, as time progresses, other companies start to work for the same goal.
Junghans today in 2019 the brand celebrates a 100 years of an art school in Weimar which was founded in 1919 in Walter Gropius. The Meister Driver Handaufzug is a modern designed watch.
